December is finally here, which means...it's Christmas time!
November has been quite dull, all rainy and cold. I think I spent most of my time in my bed (first because I was sick) watching TV shows or reading with a cup of tea. But no need of these details, let's see what were the products I have been loving to warm up this month ;)
Inglot is professional brand of makeup founded in Poland 30 years ago. They started expanding in Canada and are now present in more than 70 countries. I heard about this brand through some American beauty bloggers-youtubers. Unfortunately, at the time I was living in France and Inglot was not available there. Few weeks ago, I was driving by Hamra street and to my great surprise I saw an Inglot shop. I could not believe it, I was so happy!
As I mentionned in a previous post, Lush just opened a new store at ABC Achrafieh and in my haul I featured their mascara called Eyes Right. I have had a huge allergy crisis the past few days and my eyes are slowly recovering. I have decided to give this mascara a try since the ingredient list is very short, which is perfect for sensitive eyes.
Ingredients: Fresh Wheatgrass Infusion (Triticum vulgare), Water (Aqua), Japan Wax (Rhus succedanea), Talc, Carnauba Wax,
Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, PVP, CI77499, Methylparaben
You can see that the main three ingredients are Wheatgrass, Water and Wax, which makes this product quite light and clean, despite the parabens. There has been a whole debate about parabens lately, so I might write a post about it but I would like to say that you can find parabens in some natural foods. Did you know that methylparaben is found in blueberries? Don't be so scared of parabens, there are not good in high concentration and in this case, there is only a little of it (last ingredient on the list).
Here's my favorites tools and products to remove makeup: I use Bioderma Sensibio H2O for my eyes and lips as it is very gentle; DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is jus the best makeup remover I have ever tried; I use Cleanance from Avene to cleanse my skin and for an extra cleansing and exfoliation I use a manual face brush.
Makeup always implies the makeup removing process. Most of us hate it because it takes time and after a long day (or night), this is usually the last thing we have the energy to do. But skipping that part is probably one of the worst thing you can do to your skin!
Oh, and don't think that if you don't wear makeup you can skip that step : you still have to cleanse and wash your face every day, even if you don't wear make up. Your skinn is naturally attacked by our external environement (molds, bacterias, dust, poluttion). You have to clease your skin to remove all of this every night :)
I have been suffering from a terrible eye allergy for the past week, and as I treating it, I told myself I could write about how I deal with them.
The below products mentioned are the one I use when I have a crisis and if you are going through any or if you just have sensitive skin, you might want to check them! I have always been suffering from multiple allergies and sensitive skin, although they got more severe the past three years. I use some of these products on a regular basis too because they suits my sensitive skin. I am not a doctor though, so if you are having a very serious reactions or severe burning, you must see a doctor! Allergies must be taken seriously.
If a cosmetic products gave you an allergy, you have to immediately throw it away and switch to calming and very specific products.
