Beauty Basics : How do get a perfect skin?

Don't you miss your soft and flawless baby skin? I think we all do. These 7 causes may be the reason why you have a not-so-perfect skin :

1.   Junk food and Alcohol are NO-NO!
They say "You are what you eat". Processed food (with a long list of ingredients)  is your skin (and health) enemy, so avoid them.  Food is basically the fuel of our body. Good fuel will have an impact on the inside and the outside.
Same thing for alcohol, drink with moderation. Remember that "Hangover" face? I think the picture is pretty clear...

2.   Smoking = ENEMY
Cigarette ingredients remove the oxygen off  your skin, leaving it dull, dry and uneven. It also consume the nutrients that help protect and repair your skin. Studies shows that smokers look older than non-smokers because it accelerates the aging process.
I mean, WHO WOULD WANT THAT?

3.   Bad habits
Have you ever gone to bed without removing your makeup? If this kind of laziness become a habit, it will certainly damage your skin. All the unnatural ingredients in makeup, mixed to pollution and oils will clog your pores.
Bring discipline to your routine and you will notice the difference.
Also, don't forget to wash your hand before touching or putting anything to your face (cleansing or makeup).

4.   You don't sleep enough
Sleeping is the time when your body and skin repair themselves.
If you don't sleep enough, you are minimizing the process of regeneration. Why do you think we have dark circles when we don't sleep enough?

5. You over-expose your skin to sun
We all love to get that summer glow and nice tan. The sun has many advantages, but too much exposure without protection can endanger your skin. UVA (A like Aging) and UVB (B like Burning) are two sun rays than damage your skin. So wear your SPF.  Always.

6.   Aggressive skincare and washing habits
Over-washing and over-exfoliating your face is ripping the natural oil off that protects your skin. When this happens, your skin produces more oil, leading to acne. Cosmetics based on alcohol or other aggressive ingredient like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) have also  negative consequences.

7.   Hormonal disorders or skin disease
Some of us may have perfect habits and lifestyle, but still struggle with acne or some other skin issues. In these cases, hormones may be involved, especially if it's acne and most treatment or skincare haven't worked.
In this case, have your hormones checked and see a good dermatologist to know what lies beneath your skin issues.
