Marianne Rose is the new luxury French brand you need to follow! The founder, who gave her name to the brand, is from Provence, one of France's finest regions. Surrounded by its stunning vegetation, she was inspired to create cosmetics using the very essence of nature and its beauty...to make women more beautiful.
It created a unique collection of skincare, with an avant-garde range of cosmetics that looks like no other. Bio stem cells, Snake Venom or Salmon DNA, nothing is too extravagant or too bizarre if it can keep our skin good and youthful. Although they are made in France, Marianne Rose products are unfortunately available in China only right now, but a very close source told me they might be coming to the Middle East very soon.
My best friend brought me the Plants Cleansing Sponge, a 100% natural sponge made of vegetable fibers and red clay. Ok, you are going to ask me why would I need a weird cleansing sponge? Well first, if you have really sensitive skin (whether it is acne-prone or extra-dry), you know that most sponges or brushes can be irritating, which is a problem when you look for deep cleansing. What I love about this sponge is that it manages to really get rid of impurities but moisturize the skin at the same time, which is in my opinion a true innovation. You can also use it without any cleanser (in the morning for exemple or if you haven't been wearing any makeup) because it is alkalinizing itself (and FYI, soap is alkaline, which is why it cleanses skin from its impurities). Besides, red clay is naturally great for sensitive skin and its properties help to illuminate dull complexions because it is richer than any other clay in mineral nutrients.
The downside of this sponge is that need to change it regularly because, well, it is natural and the lack of preservative and chemicals make it...ephemeral. And after all, you do change your toothbrush regularly, right? :)
I have been using mine for two months (twice a day) and I have to say that I loved it. I wanted to keep exfoliating during winter and I found the sponge did a great job without aggressing my sensitive skin. I am lucky enough to go to China this year so I will definitely get some more and try other products from that brand that piqued my curiosity!
