Inglot is professional brand of makeup founded in Poland 30 years ago. They started expanding in Canada and are now present in more than 70 countries. I heard about this brand through some American beauty bloggers-youtubers. Unfortunately, at the time I was living in France and Inglot was not available there. Few weeks ago, I was driving by Hamra street and to my great surprise I saw an Inglot shop. I could not believe it, I was so happy!
I went to the shop few days ago and I was not disappointed. The shop decoration is very sleek and beautiful, but most important full of colors. If you are looking for a particular shades of shadow, lipstick or nail polish, you will most probably find it. To me, this is pure joy and freedom, and I think this is one of the few brands that can be accessible to everyone looking for quality. Beginners can find affordable basics while professionals will get the high quality they need.
I also mentionned the Freedom System, which is the equivalent of the palettes you create with MAC, except that they are much cheaper (see the left picture above). Each pan cost $10 (I believe Make Up For Ever individuals cost around $20 each and MAC $15), whether it is a concealer, shadow, etc. The empty palettes have different prices depending on the size (5 pans for $11 and 10 for $17). For exemple, five eyeshadows and the palette will cost you $61, which is less than most brands (Lancôme, Dior...) while you get more product in the pan with an amazing quality.
While I was visiting the store, I bought three items: a blush, a lipstick and a loose pigment (middle picture above).
Overall, these three products were highly pigmented and long-lasting, which is highly appreciable. The packaging though is not the best, which also explain the price. The pigment could be protected by a cap or have some kind of protection because opening them could turn into a disaster. The blush packaging also feel cheap and has no mirror but the lipstick was actually nice, very sleek and glossy black . However always remember that with such brand you buy the product itself, whereas the packaging plays a big part in luxury brands while the quality is not always the best.
I am honestly very happy I found Inglot and I recommend this brand for everyone looking for a compromise between quality and price. They definitely deserve more attention, so if you pass by Hamra Street, check their shop!
