If my day-time routine is quite simple, it get more sophisticated in the evening (although in the summer I also simplify). I really wanted to share my current night routine because I am really enjoying these products and I feel my skin has been doing great on it.
I think it is very important to take care of your skin before going to bed because it is actually during your sleep that you skin regenerates and heals. If you are dealing with any particular issue, it is then important to target it in your night routine.
Makeup News: Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effet Faux-Cils Remastered Formula & Mono Couture Eye Shadow
The mascara Volume Effet Faux-Cils (MVEFC) is a cult classic makeup product. This is one of the best mascara on the market and probably one of YSL biggest makeup success. But this mascara had one problem: it dried too fast, making it difficult to use after a couple of weeks. I repurchased this mascara several times before discovering my beloved Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes so when I heard YSL was reformulating its best-seller, I was really curious to try it. I was invited to the official launching in Lebanon, which happened at ABC Dbayeh Mall. The event also featured the launching of their new mono eye shadows. I left with a goodie bag (including the mascara, of course) but I could not resist buying one eyeshadow that particularly caught my attention.
Marianne Rose is the new luxury French brand you need to follow! The founder, who gave her name to the brand, is from Provence, one of France's finest regions. Surrounded by its stunning vegetation, she was inspired to create cosmetics using the very essence of nature and its beauty...to make women more beautiful.
It created a unique collection of skincare, with an avant-garde range of cosmetics that looks like no other. Bio stem cells, Snake Venom or Salmon DNA, nothing is too extravagant or too bizarre if it can keep our skin good and youthful. Although they are made in France, Marianne Rose products are unfortunately available in China only right now, but a very close source told me they might be coming to the Middle East very soon.
As I mentionned in a previous post, Lush just opened a new store at ABC Achrafieh and in my haul I featured their mascara called Eyes Right. I have had a huge allergy crisis the past few days and my eyes are slowly recovering. I have decided to give this mascara a try since the ingredient list is very short, which is perfect for sensitive eyes.
Ingredients: Fresh Wheatgrass Infusion (Triticum vulgare), Water (Aqua), Japan Wax (Rhus succedanea), Talc, Carnauba Wax,
Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, PVP, CI77499, Methylparaben
You can see that the main three ingredients are Wheatgrass, Water and Wax, which makes this product quite light and clean, despite the parabens. There has been a whole debate about parabens lately, so I might write a post about it but I would like to say that you can find parabens in some natural foods. Did you know that methylparaben is found in blueberries? Don't be so scared of parabens, there are not good in high concentration and in this case, there is only a little of it (last ingredient on the list).
Concealer is life savior product, which is why I am always looking for the holy grail. I am a big fan of Nars Radiant Creamy concealer (I have used 4 or 5 of them since it was launched). Unfortunately, NARS does not exist in Lebanon (yet? *hoping*) so I had to find a new savior.
When it comes to complexion, I prefer high-end brands but I wanted for once to try a drugstore product. I decided to give Maybelline a chance since I usually love their eye products. I got the color #3 - Medium.
The Superstay 24H concealer promises a full and ultra long-wearing coverage.
