I have another great item that you can pull out of your kitchen! Apple Cider Vinegar isn't just great for your salads.
If you are having issues with your skin, ACV is actually the perfect remedy to get clear skin.
ACV can do wonder for your skin because of its pH (if you can't remember your chemistry classes, it's the scale that measure acidity or alkalinity).

Your skin optimal pH is 5,5, which is acid while, soap and cleansers are alkaline (around 9, sometimes up to 11)  in order to remove the dirt and excess oils. Unfortunaly, they often can break up our skin's natural protection, causing imbalance.

The skin's acid mantle is very helpful to inhibit the growth of bacteria, which is why losing that acidity may cause acne. A skin pH that is too alkaline may also cause premature aging since the skin barrier cannot retain the moisture while keeping the bad stuffs (pollution, bacteria...) out.

Here's when ACV comes as a savior: it's pH is between 4,5 and 5,5, which is, yes, similar to your skin's! Because of that, ACV can help rebalance your skin and restaure its natural protection.

Beside that great property, ACV also has high levels of beta-carotene, which counteracts damage caused by free radicals and is anti-bacterial/antiseptic. Not only ACV will help you fight acne and prevent blemishes but it's also a good anti-aging ingredient..

The Recipe

Get some good ACV and a container (plastic or glass) and mix 1 part of ACV with 3 parts of water.
  • If you have very sensitive skin that is subjected to eczema or aging skin, replace the water water by camomille tea.
  • If you are getting a lot of blemishes, add 5 drops of tea tree essential oil.
Use this mixture as toner (after cleansing/makeup removing your face) and apply it twice a day.
If the toner is a bit too harsh at first, dilute it with one more part of water/tea.

Please try it and let me know how your skin is recovering. I am sure that in less than week, you will start noticing a change in your skin quaility!
