Since Valentine's Day is around the corner, I wanted to create a look for the occasion, whether you are going on a date or out with your friends. This look is supposed to enhance your natural beauty, but is still sexy and feminine. You don't have to use the exact same products. If you have similar items, they will certainly do the trick!

Start with a clean and moisturized skin.

I did not want to use a foundation to keep the look as natural as possible. I first applied an abricot primer by Maybelline to illuminate the face (cooler skin-tone should use a pink primer). Since I have strong eye circle, I applied my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard with a damped Beauty Blender. If you have some imperfections or any discolorations, you can also apply your concealer on these areas. Then, in order to illuminate my face, I used the cult highlighting pen by YSL - Touche Eclat where I wanted to bring light. I also blended this with my Beauty Blender and then fixed all the make up with the Nars Light Reflecting  Setting Powder.
In order to give some color to the face I applied Chanel Cream Blush in Chamade (#67). Don't be scared of the bright pink color because the cream texture blends very easily. Then, I added the Body Shop Honey Bronzer in shade #4 with the Real Technique Blush Brush using a "3" motion to warm up and lightly contour. I finished the face with this beautiful highlighter from Laura Mercier with the F55 Sigma brush that I applied on the highest point of my cheeks, bridge of the nose and the Cupid's bow. This will give a subtle sheen and glow to the face.

The eye-makeup is also very easy to do. I just used the same Body Shop bronzer on the crease with the Sigma E35 blending brush to add some depth. Then, with the E25 Sigma brush, I applied a shimmery cream color (Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Tzarine) on the lid and the inner corner. This will open the eyes while catching the light.
For the next step you can use any eyeliner you prefer (pencil/gel/liquid). I personally prefer gel eyeliner because it doesn't move or budge and this one by Maybelline is completely waterproof. Draw the line you are the most comfortable with. I wanted mine to be thin to medium with a wing to create a cat-eye effect. Then, just apply a bronze or copper eyeliner (I used Make Up For Ever in #L10 Copper) on the bottom lashes and the waterline.  Finish the look with your best black mascara (YSL Effet Faux-Cils Baby Doll).

To complete the whole makeup, I thought that a simple lip balm would be perfect because on a Valentine's Day date you are probably going to have dinner so you don't need to check your lipstick every seconds. Also, if you are with your significand other, I highly doubt he will appreciate the stains... The best alternative is in my opinion this Dior Lip Glow, a tinted lip balm that will give you a unique color depending on the pH of your lips. I found the soft and rosy color perfect for the look.

This makeup look is quite classic so you can actually use many different lip options if you'd like to. If you are feeling bold enough, you can replace the lip balm by a red or hot pink lipstick. I picked that YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats in #202 Rose Crazy, a bright pink-almost red color that will illuminate every complexions!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! :)
