HAPPY NEW YEAR MY LOVES!!!
Picture
I hope this new year will bring you the best and only the best!

As the new year starts, I just would like you to do a small exercise and look back one last time. Before you start making any plans or resolutions, make a list of all the great things that have happened to you in 2014. It could be reconnecting with someone you lost, discovering  a place you are loving now or simply getting . Happiness starts with gratefulness, and by acknowledging the good things of 2014, you can start 2015 with positive attitude and state of mind.
You find happiness in simple things. My very first post was about inner beauty. Too many times we get sad or mad for shallow things because we give too much importance to them. When you start focusing on what you have, you become happier and focus less on what you don't have. Everything is about perspective: most of us can read, walk, run, see the light and the stars or listen to our favorites music but when you think about it, there are also a lot of people in this world than cannot read, that are blind, that are deaf or that are too poor to get a decent meal everyday. It might sound ridiculous to discuss such thing on a beauty blog but I just want to insist that real beauty start inside. The rest is just here to enhance it.

Practice this exercise of acknowledging the good things in your life not once a year but if possible every day, week or year! This will be your best resolution for 2015!

Most New Year Resolutions involve getting in shape or drinking less alcohol but I have a list of goals you can accomplish to make 2015 a significant year:
  1. Forgive the ones who have hurt you. Holding grudge is more painful to you than it is to them, so let it go and move on.
  2. Get rid of toxic people in your life, whoever it is. Don't look back, if someone is not right for you, you have to let them go for your own good. According to the entrepreneur Jim Rohn, we are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Pick wisely.
  3. Spend more time with your parents. We are growing up but they are also growing old...
  4. Learn something new: a language, how to play an instrument or photography... They are so many things to discover!
  5. Focus on one or two big goals to accomplish this year: starting that business you have been thinking about, traveling to faraway countries for exemple. This will maximize your chances of success.

The list is endless because it is very personal but I think that the above are beneficial to everybody. In the end, just be thankful, be grateful and be beautiful.
Happy New Year!
