Goodmorning!
One thing that make me very happy in the morning is to wake with clear skin. Years of troubles have made me particularly picky about how my skin look and feel, my most recent concern being texture and micro scars? To achieve my goal, I have tried several products and finally found a winning combo! I still swear by my two step : cleanse and purify, then treat and moisturize.

This is my current night-time routine, and so far, I have avoided breakout but also reduce the appearance of my pores, refine my skin texture and fade my scars.

Cleanse and Purify

You cannot start without a good base, which in this case means a clean slate (or shall I say skin!) If you don't wear any makeup , you can skip straight to the cleanser. However, if you do wear makeup, a cleaning oil is a must! It is by far, my favorite type of makeup remover because it suits any skin types and doesn't aggress your skin. Most brands have now their own cleansing oil, but the king remain the Deep Cleansing Oil from the Japanese brand, DHC. Two pumps will remove all the dirt and pigments from your face. In case of heavy smokey eyes or waterproof makeup, I like to perfect this step with Respectissime, a very gentle bi-phase eye makeup remover by La Roche Posay.
The cleansing isn't complete yet. I am a big fan of double cleansing, which I love doing with the Gentle Cleanser from Shiseido. Last step is to use a toner to rebalance your skin pH and prepare the skin to the treatment/moisturizing part. I love using rose water or diluted apple cider vinegar, but lately, I have tried the Equalizing Toner from Skinceuticals and I did notice my pore slowly vanishing!

Moisturize and Treat

Now it is time to pamper your skin for a goodnight sleep. What is important to know is that your skin repair itself while you sleep, so it is very important to at least moisturize or treat any issue during your night routine.

First, don't neglect your eyes because they are the first area that shows signs of aging. The Eye Balm was my first product from Skineuticals and probably the one that made me fall in love with that brand. Another life-changing product that I use every single night is their Retexturing Activator which targets any skin texture issues. Final step is to moisturize your skin and a great pick for this season is the Hydraphase Intense Légère (La Roche Posay), because it fully hydrate your skin but doesn't overload it.

Now that you've cocoon your skin, you are ready to sleep :) Ciao!
