I may be a beauty blogger, but I am also a devoted bookholic. In the quest for Christmas gifts, books are often underrated while they can be very nice gifts..if you know which one to pick! I love offering my favorites books to people I love and value because it is a way of sharing something special with them. If you are still looking for a gift to someone, get him/her a book (or several ;)) and in order to help you, here are some recommendations:

The Beautiful and Damned
(F. Scott Fitzgerald)

The Great Gatsby fans will also love this book from the same author. The action takes place in the 1910s New York high society. An early and vintage Gossip Girl story.

The Hunger Games - Catching Fire - Mockingjay
(Suzanne Collins)

They usually say the books are better than the movies...and they are right. I read the Hunger Games before watching the movies, and I can confirm this. The fight of Katniss - the main character - in a
dystopian and post-apocalyptic world will be a delight for science-fiction lovers! If you know someone who needs to read more, this would be a nice choice, as well as for teenagers and young adults.

Divergent - Insurgent - Allegiant
(Veronica Roth)

The movie was great but believe me the books are much better. I was actually very impressed by this trilogy. The plot gets deeper and deeper and makes you question our world, technology while dealing with personal relationships. The Hunger Games lovers that haven't read or watched Divergent will also love it! A personal favorite and another great pick for teenagers and young adults.

The Monk Who Sold its Ferrari
(Robin Sharma)

This is a life-changing book.  If someone around you is seeking spirituality, inner-peace and self-development, this is a must have. People dealing with tought times and change will also highly appreciate this story.

The Attack
(Yasmina Khadra)

If you want to offer someone a realistic yet touching book, this is a perfect pick about the terrorism and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. A very powerful novel.

The Crusade Through Arab Eyes
(Amin Maalouf)

People passionated about History will probably enjoy this book. The essay provides another perspective on one of the biggest and longest event in world history.

Pride and Prejudice
(Jane Austen)

Last but not least, Pride and Prejudice is my all time favorite. This novel is a classic and a must-read, especially for the Romantic and Drama lovers. The style, the story, the characters...the book is simply amazing and suits all ages. I read it for the first time when I was 15 and I simply fell in love...(with Darcy).
